A Snapshot of Your Day
As a Quoting Engineer, you will be fully engaged in preparing service and spare parts proposals that involve both technical and commercial challenges, creating continuous opportunities for personal and professional growth. You will work closely with Sales, Product Development Managers (PDMs), Competence Centers, external suppliers, and customers to develop competitive and balanced solutions. A typical day includes analyzing customer requests, defining bid strategies, coordinating stakeholders, building accurate quotations, and supporting proposal approvals while ensuring compliance with Siemens Energy standards and processes.
How You'll Make an Impact
- Analyze proposal requests, identifying risks and opportunities while reviewing technical, commercial, legal, EHS, QA/QC, customs, and safety requirements for Compression business opportunities.
- Participate in Bid/No-Bid decision-making processes and define the proposal strategy and commercial approach.
- Lead the preparation and management of firm and budgetary quotations for Services and Spare Parts across Distributed Sales product lines (MGT, SGT, RCE, and TCP).
- Prepare and coordinate quotations for Solutions projects, Long-Term Maintenance Agreements (LTP), and Operation & Maintenance (O&M) opportunities.
- Coordinate cost estimation activities with Product Competence Centers (PCCs) and external suppliers while managing key internal and external stakeholders.
- Ensure proper proposal governance through LoA processes, handover activities, documentation management, lessons learned reviews, and compliance with Siemens Energy Project Excellence standards.
What You Bring
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related technical field.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in project execution, proposal management, technical sales, commercial engineering, or a similar customer-facing engineering role.
- Intermediate to Upper-Intermediate English proficiency (B1-B2); Advanced English (C1-C2) is considered a strong advantage.
- Strong analytical and commercial acumen with the ability to assess risks and opportunities.
- Excellent stakeholder management and cross-functional communication skills.
- Experience working with technical proposals, cost estimation, and customer-oriented solutions in an industrial or energy environment.
