A Snapshot of Your Day
The Procurement Analyst at the Pre-bid stage plays a vital role in supporting bid preparation by analyzing supplier quotes and conducting detailed techno-commercial evaluations. The role is critical in assisting the Project Procurement Manager with informed decision-making based on identifying suitable vendors, summarizing competitive pricing, evaluating technical alignment and developing accurate cost estimates.
How You’ll Make an Impact
- Conduct in-depth techno-commercial comparisons of multiple vendor quotes
- Prepare bid summaries and present inputs to the Project Procurement Manager for decision-making
- Maintain supplier quote records, pricing benchmarks, and historical bid data for future reference
- Analyze RFQ requirements and scope of supply in alignment with project specifications
- Knowledge of commodities like Motors, Gear Boxes, Vorecon, VSDs (Variable speed Drives), Generators, Air Coolers, Anti Surge Valves, Acoustics, Lube Oil Console, Jacket Water Console Gas Seal Panel, Couplings, Dry Gas seals, Pressure Vessel, Separators
- Handle ad-hoc requests related to data analysis, pricing history, and other analytical needs as required
What You Bring
- Strong analytical and commercial acumen
- Ability to interpret technical documents and perform accurate comparisons
- Excellent communication and stakeholder collaboration
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in mechanical engineering
- 2-4 years of procurement experience with exposure to bid/proposal support and techno-commercial evaluations
- Proficiency in MS Excel and knowledge of engineering specifications
- Proven ability to take initiative, with high motivation and a strong track record of delivering results independently in a self-directed work environment
