A Snapshot of Your Day
As a CP HVDC Engineer you will develop and deliver HVDC control and protection solutions within a specialized team! Working with the Engineering Manager – HVDC C&P, you will provide engineering work packages aligned with project and business objectives! Additionally, you will collaborate on innovative solutions, contribute to continuous improvement, and support the delivery of complex engineering projects.
How You’ll Make an Impact
- Design of control systems for High Voltage Direct Current systems (HVDC)
- Implementation as well as verification of control or protection software in using software-in-the-loop (SIL) and hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) test environments
- Clarification of technical requirements within project teams as well as with customers and suppliers
- Preparation of design specifications, documentation, trainings and effort estimations
- Remote support during commissioning and after-sales service of HVDC systems
What You Bring
- A degree or equivalent experience in Electrical or Power Systems Engineering.
- 1-3 years of professional experience in a related field
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
- A willingness to travel as needed throughout the program.
- Flexible to students' schedule.
- Legal authorization to work in the United States without the need for current or future employer-sponsored work authorization.
About the Program
We are seeking passionate individuals to join our engineering teams in this 12-month upskilling program. The program includes learning cycles, networking events, classroom and virtual training, as well as on-the-job training to familiarize our new team members with the necessary technical skills in the field of HVDC (High Voltage Direct Current).
