关于职务
Your day starts with reviewing performance reports, safety logs, and plant status, followed by shift handovers, morning meetings, and plant walkdowns to inspect systems and engage with operators. Throughout the day, you coordinate with teams, monitor KPIs, approve corrective actions, oversee safety and compliance, support training, and ensure smooth operations, staying on-call for emergencies after hours.
How You Will Make an Impact
- Lead and manage all plant operations, including start-up, shutdowns, and emergency operations, ensuring compliance with safety, commercial, technical, and customer requirements while meeting grid dispatch and market demand schedules.
- Monitor and optimize plant performance using advanced DCS/SCADA systems and conduct trend analysis to address performance issues and maximize efficiency.
- Champion a strong safety culture, ensuring compliance with ISO standards and regulations, manage inspections and audits, and enforce strict adherence to safety procedures like permit-to-work and LOTO.
- Lead and develop a skilled workforce by defining roles, providing mentoring and training, conducting workforce planning, and ensuring adherence to Siemens Energy Standards and CMMS systems.
- Collaborate with the Maintenance Manager on outage planning, failure analysis, preventive maintenance, and corrective actions to minimize downtime and maintain operational reliability.
- Prepare detailed operational reports, manage budgets and OPEX, oversee fuel and resource usage, and implement measures to optimize efficiency and reduce costs.
What You Bring
- Diploma or bachelor’s degree in mechanical, Electrical, Power Plant Engineering, or a related field; master’s degree or MBA preferred.
- Over 10 years of experience in large-scale power plant operations, including 3+ years in combined cycle technology and 5+ years in operational leadership roles for facilities >500 MW.
- Strong knowledge of thermodynamics, fluid dynamics, high-pressure steam systems, and familiarity with OEM operation protocols (Siemens Energy preferred).
- Proficient in DCS/SCADA systems, plant performance software, predictive maintenance tools, and digital analytics platforms, with high digital literacy in IT applications (e.g., Microsoft Office, T3000).
- Skilled communicator in English (verbal and written), with additional language skills in Kurdish, Arabic, or German as a plus, and experienced in leading and motivating teams in challenging environments.
- Creative, proactive, and solution-oriented, with a strong commitment to HSE, quality standards, and a willingness to work in Khormala and reside in Erbil, Iraq.

Our Gas Services division offers Low-emission power generation through service and decarbonization. Zero or low emission power generation and all gas turbines under one roof, steam turbines and generators. Decarbonization opportunities through service offerings, modernization, and digitalization of the fleet.
