Join Siemens Energy as our Nondestructive Examination (NDE) Program / Tooling Specialist, responsible for ensuring flawless tooling and equipment support for NDE services worldwide, especially in the Americas. This role is based at our Pittsburgh Service Center in Mount Pleasant, PA.

How You’ll Make an Impact

  • Coordinate Pittsburgh Service Center NDE tooling facility operations, ensuring process control and compliance with storage, calibration, maintenance, shipping, and receiving procedures.
  • Guarantee that operations strictly conform to the requirements specified in our Safety and Quality procedures, including rigorous equipment calibration.
  • Provide outstanding back office and “on the shop floor” support to ensure tool orders meet the needs of our internal customers seamlessly.
  • Drive process improvement initiatives, cost containment strategies, and efficiency improvements to support NDE tooling and equipment production.
  • Communicate proactively and frequently with internal product line personnel to status job progress, manage exceptions, and address identified issues.
  • Lead the coordination of tooling facility preparations for internal and external audits.

What You Bring

  • Must have a High School Diploma or GED that can be verified, plus 3+ years of related experience or a 2-year associate technical degree; a BS/BA degree in a technical or business field is a plus.
  • Demonstrated mechanical proficiency with a focus on attention to detail; Proficiency with computer software including Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Adobe Acrobat and SAP is a plus.
  • Strong interpersonal skills suited for a customer-facing role; Excellent oral and written communication skills, capable of clearly and concisely conveying information to non-technical associates, peers, customers, and management.
  • Dedicated and resourceful with a proven track record of achieving goals independently and collaboratively; Flexibility to adapt and thrive in an environment with changing requirements, schedules, and priorities across multiple projects.
  • Demonstrated ability to work within teams, discussing ideas, making recommendations, and helping to reach team consensus for forward movement.
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to lift 50 pounds.

About the Team

From this location (and with team members located across the world) we perform major repairs, upgrades, maintenance and inspection on steam turbines, combustion turbines, and generators of all sizes. Our team can perform almost any major service offered by the factory and service can be performed at a customer site. The NDE tooling complexity ranges from simple tools to very complex robotic systems for performing inspections. This role is vital to our organization. Reliable inspection tooling delivery to customer sites is crucial.
