A Snapshot of Your Day
Join Siemens Aero Derivative Gas Turbine business as a Material Resource Planning (MRP) Controller. You’ll build, maintain and communicate detailed delivery plans for specific part orders within our supply chain, which are commitment accepted to enable the master production plan to be achieved. You’ll also provide the Supply Chain Management Team (SCMT), with the implications of the delivery schedules ability to meet customer and business requirements.
How you'll make an impact
- Responsible for the MRP planning and control process in SAP, managing both Material Master and Dynamic data, ensuring efficient demand cascade through the supply chain and a reliably committed plan
- Primary interface with suppliers for planning & control, inventory, delivery, and lead time; Lead operational relationship and related improvement activities. Lead business reviews with suppliers, assessing performance and planning recovery actions
- Adapt to demand changes by negotiating delivery realignments with vendors, and anticipate delivery risks to the customer, leading escalation efforts where necessary
- Maintain supplier delivery commitments in SAP, respond to supplier enquiries and handle adherence of schedule lines (Exception Messages) to ensure delivery to plan, including new parts introduction
- Coordinate and expedite troubleshooting activities with internal stakeholders –engineering, purchasing, logistics, and quality teams– and external stakeholders to ensure demand changes are effectively managed and potential delivery risks mitigated.
- Plan, control and optimize stock across the supply chain, ensuring levels specified are maintained and used in the appropriate order and time frame
- Ensure compliance to processes, company standard systems and reports to resolve delivery hazards and meet both SE and the suppliers’ requirements, considering the impacts to Quality, Cost and Delivery
- Drive improvement or operational projects involving vendor collaboration, process optimization, and cross-functional alignment to meet challenging delivery schedules
What you bring
- Around 10 years of working experience in leading Engineering/Manufacturing environment (e.g. Aerospace, Engineering, Oil & Gas) with a proven track record in planning & control and vendor management.
- Proficiency using SAP Material Management, advanced Excel skills.
- Excellent communicator, able to lead discussions and drive cross‐functional collaboration.
- Good understanding of quality systems and inventory control procedures.
- Experience coordinating projects that span multiple internal functions and external vendors.
- Capable of driving continuous improvement initiatives across the supply chain.
- Robust problem-solving skills with a tenacious, detail-oriented, and results-driven mindset
- Advanced English language skills
- Availability to work from our Bucharest office 3 days per week, with 2 days remote
