A Snapshot of Your Day
As Lead Engineer (f/m/d) Compressor Package & Installation Design you will be responsible within a global project team for the installation planning of the entire compressor train consisting of drive, compressor and auxiliary systems. The scope of duties also includes the handling of some components and systems within the compressor train, such as steel construction and piping.
The position and project management offer many interfaces and always varied and exciting challenges, as our product solutions are tailored to customer needs and you will be working on new technologies and applications as part of the energy transition and decarbonization.
How You’ll Make an Impact
- Monitoring of engineering hours budget and adherence to project timelines
- Conducting design reviews, implementing risk mitigation measures, and ensuring compliance with deadlines
- Coordination of technical issues with internal teams, external partners, and support for procurement processes
- Review of technical contract specifications and preparation of purchased component specifications
- Responsibility for mechanical system design, installation layouts, and technical documentation in line with project requirements
- Main point of contact for technical matters related to package and installation design for turbocompressor systems
What You Bring
- Business fluency in German and English, along with a willingness to travel for business purposes
- Strong teamwork, communication, and intercultural skills, with a systematic and proactive approach to work
- Knowledge of technical quality assurance, combined with cost and risk awareness
- Proficiency in engineering tools such as Teamcenter, NX CAD, and SAP
- Expertise in turbocompressor systems, components, and international standards in the oil and gas sector
- Degree in mechanical engineering or a comparable field, with several years of experience in plant engineering and project management
