A Snapshot of Your Day
This position is a new addition to the Siemens Energy Mexico team, established to ensure business continuity for a critical customer account. As a Manager (M3) level role, it is responsible for the strategic leadership and commercial management of the relationship with the Comisión Federal de Electricidad (CFE), a key strategic partner for Siemens Energy in the Latin America region.
To effectively manage and grow this vital account, the role is structured around three core pillars: Strategic Account Management to cultivate deep relationships and identify opportunities, Sales and Commercial Leadership to drive the entire sales cycle and secure profitable business, and Team Management to guide the dedicated account team and ensure operational excellence. Given the focus on this strategic public-sector client, the ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in key account management within the Mexican energy or utility sector, specifically with CFE.
This role requires a manager with proven leadership capabilities, strong negotiation skills, and the ability to develop and execute long-term, complex sales strategies.
How You’ll Make an Impact
• Own the annual CFE account strategy, aligning priorities and execution with Siemens Energy regional and global objectives.
• Build and sustain strong, multi-level relationships across CFE (technical/operations through executive leadership) to deepen partnership and access.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for CFE and orchestrate a coordinated, cross-business approach across Siemens Energy stakeholders.
• Lead end-to-end sales execution for CFE opportunities (pipeline/forecasting, proposals, negotiations, and contract closure) in collaboration with legal, finance, and execution teams.
• Manage and coach the account team while monitoring market/competitive and regulatory dynamics to deliver annual targets and long-term growth.
What You Bring
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, Industrial), Business Administration, or a related field.
• 8–10+ years of strategic sales and/or key account management experience, with a track record managing large, complex accounts.
• Demonstrated experience working directly with CFE and/or within the Mexican public utility/energy sector (required).
• Prior people-management experience leading, coaching, and developing a team of sales professionals.
• Strong customer management and commercial skills, including CRM/Salesforce, strategic thinking and business acumen, prospecting and presentations, negotiation and pricing strategy, plus influencing and analytical skills (forecasting, accountability).
