Your day will be self-managed, guided by project goals and standard processes for a Software Automation Engineer. How You’ll Make an Impact

  • Actively participate in automation and electrical engineering for industrial steam turbine control systems.
  • Implement and modify control logics, hardware interfaces, and HMIs to meet customer specifications.
  • Design electrical panels, control architecture, and wiring diagrams for steam turbine automation.
  • Engage in hands-on work with PLC setup, configuration, and other automation hardware components.
  • Collaborate with internal and external engineering partners, manage customer expectations, and align project concepts.
  • Troubleshoot sophisticated issues and contribute to continuous product improvement and quality assurance through functional tests.


What You Bring

  • Degree or master's in Electrical, Computer, or Automation Engineering, or related fields; significant experience or self-education considered.
  • 2 to 5 years of experience in automation, control technology, and PLC programming preferred; instrumentation experience is a plus.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft 365 tools; experience with Ladder Logic required; familiarity with SPPA T3000, SIMATIC, PCS7, S7, Step7 with CFC, WinCC, or Siemens TIA Portal beneficial.
  • Knowledge of Windows 10, computer hardware, and PC technology systems; experience with electrical design tools like COMOS, EPLAN, or AutoCAD valued.
  • Willingness to travel occasionally; ability to adhere to processes while being proactive and creative.
  • Excellent communication skills in English; German language skills a plus; self-motivated, flexible, goal-oriented, and able to work independently or collaboratively.
