A Snapshot of Your Day

You will play a key role in transforming complex engineering data into clear, accurate, and user‑friendly technical illustrations for our Wind Turbine Illustrated Parts Catalogs (IPCs). Your day will involve interpreting 3D models, reviewing engineering changes, creating high‑quality exploded views, and ensuring that our service technicians and customers can rely on precise visual documentation for maintenance, repairs, and spare‑parts identification. You will collaborate closely with cross‑functional engineering and documentation teams, ensuring every update—from design changes to component revisions—is accurately reflected in the IPC. Your contribution directly enhances the usability of our technical documents and strengthens the efficiency of our global service operations.

How You’ll Make an Impact
Technical Illustration & 3D Model Preparation (75%)
  • Create high‑quality 2D and 3D isometric and exploded‑view illustrations for wind turbine IPCs using engineering inputs.
  • Interpret and work from complex 3D CAD models, engineering drawings, and Bills of Materials (BOMs) to ensure accuracy for the 5X platform.
  • Prepare, simplify, and manipulate 3D models sourced from systems such as Creo or Siemens NX for publication‑ready outputs.
  • Ensure all illustrations comply with internal guidelines, documentation standards, and platform‑specific requirements.

Documentation Management & Cross‑Functional Collaboration (25%)
  • Collaborate with engineering, technical writers, and subject matter experts to validate illustration accuracy and completeness.
  • Manage illustration versions, metadata, and documentation files within content management or PLM systems.
  • Update and revise existing illustrations to reflect Engineering Change Notices (ECNs), product improvements, and component updates.
  • Participate in project meetings to align deliverables, communicate progress, and ensure illustration timelines support overall documentation schedules.
