Snapshot of Your Day:
We are looking for a Instrumentation Technician in Charlotte, NC to prepare and coordinate commissioning and assembly of SGT6-9000HL large gas turbines.
How You’ll Make an Impact:
- Apply knowledge of the application of temperature sensors, pressure sensors, and strain gauges in high-temperature ranges.
- Utilize knowledge of the design and assembly process of Siemens turbomachinery for proper sensor application, cable run, and cable routing of the turbo machinery components.
- Utilize knowledge of instrumentation techniques.
- Involved in the assembly of turbomachinery.
- Prepare components for instrumentation, application of sensors, and routing along different parts of gas turbines to prepare for prototype testing.
- 20% domestic and 10% International travel required.
What You Bring:
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, or a related field and 8 years of experience.
- In lieu of a Bachelor’s degree, will accept 2 years of experience.
- Full term of experience must include: gas turbine assembly knowledge.
- 6 years of experience with: test sensor applications in strain gages;
- Test sensor applications in thermocouples;
- Test sensor applications in dynamic/static pressures;
- Instrumentation repair techniques;
- Instrumentation probes/rakes manufacturing;
- Instrumentation sealing techniques for gas turbine testing;
- Data acquisition operations and troubleshooting.
- 20% domestic/10% International travel required.
