Snapshot of Your Day:

We are looking for a Instrumentation Technician in Charlotte, NC to prepare and coordinate commissioning and assembly of SGT6-9000HL large gas turbines.

 

How You’ll Make an Impact: 

  • Apply knowledge of the application of temperature sensors, pressure sensors, and strain gauges in high-temperature ranges.
  • Utilize knowledge of the design and assembly process of Siemens turbomachinery for proper sensor application, cable run, and cable routing of the turbo machinery components.
  • Utilize knowledge of instrumentation techniques.
  • Involved in the assembly of turbomachinery.
  • Prepare components for instrumentation, application of sensors, and routing along different parts of gas turbines to prepare for prototype testing.
  • 20% domestic and 10% International travel required.

 

What You Bring:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, or a related field and 8 years of experience.
  • In lieu of a Bachelor’s degree, will accept 2 years of experience.
  • Full term of experience must include: gas turbine assembly knowledge.
  • 6 years of experience with: test sensor applications in strain gages;
  • Test sensor applications in thermocouples;
  • Test sensor applications in dynamic/static pressures;
  • Instrumentation repair techniques;
  • Instrumentation probes/rakes manufacturing;
  • Instrumentation sealing techniques for gas turbine testing;
  • Data acquisition operations and troubleshooting.
  • 20% domestic/10% International travel required.
