Heavy Lift Resource Manager
A Snapshot of Your Day
You will lead the planning and coordination of offshore Heavy Lift technicians, ensuring the right people with the right skills are deployed to support Jack Up vessel operations and major component exchange campaigns. Working cross-functionally with operations, HR, training and planning teams, you’ll balance short-term delivery needs with long-term workforce readiness, while supporting the growth towards a four-vessel operating model.
How You’ll Make an Impact
- Deliver effective workforce planning by forecasting demand, building resource plans and allocating technicians based on competence, availability and operational priorities.
- Ensure technicians are fully trained, compliant and mobilisation-ready by managing competence pathways, tracking training and closing capability gaps.
- Lead and develop your assigned technician group through coaching, performance management and structured development planning.
- Support business growth by enabling recruitment, onboarding and retention strategies aligned to future offshore demand.
- Maintain operational continuity by working closely with vessel teams and planners to reduce risks and protect campaign delivery.
- Use data and reporting to monitor utilisation, readiness and workforce performance, driving informed decision-making.
What You Bring
- Experience in resource management, workforce planning or leading field-based technical teams in an operational environment.
- Strong understanding of offshore wind, heavy lift operations, or similar complex technical industries.
- Proven ability to manage competing priorities while maintaining focus on safety, quality and delivery.
- Knowledge of competence frameworks, training planning and mobilisation requirements.
- Strong stakeholder management skills with experience collaborating across HR, operations, planning and support functions.
- A structured and data-driven approach to planning, with confidence using tools such as Excel and workforce planning systems.
- Excellent communication and people leadership skills, with a focus on engagement, development and accountability.
