A Snapshot of Your Day

As the Head of Network Security, you will lead a global team responsible for the delivery, operation, and continuous improvement of critical network security services. This role has been vacant for an extended period, and your leadership is crucial for ensuring business continuity and managing an increasing workload by providing stable, secure, and reliable service delivery. The position is structured to balance immediate operational excellence with long-term strategic evolution. You will oversee core services including firewalling, segmentation, secure remote access, and SSE/Zscaler platforms, while simultaneously shaping their progression towards a standardized, automated, and platform-oriented Secure Access & Segmentation model. This requires close collaboration with Cybersecurity, Infrastructure, Cloud, Digital Workplace, and OT partners to build the secure connectivity blocks of the future. 

How You’ll Make an Impact

• Lead and mentor a global team of network security professionals, setting clear operational goals and managing performance to achieve departmental objectives.
• Manage relationships and performance of external suppliers and partners to ensure service level agreements are met.
• Plan, prioritize, and delegate workload and tasks to ensure effective handling of both daily operations and project-based activities.
• Serve as the key point of contact for major operational issues and escalations within the network security domain.
• Ensure the stable, secure, and reliable delivery of network security services, including firewalling, segmentation, secure remote access, and SSE/Zscaler platforms.
• Oversee the monitoring, maintenance, and incident response for the global network security infrastructure to guarantee uptime and performance.
• Lead the team in troubleshooting and resolving complex network security incidents and problems.
• Maintain and improve documentation for the logical and physical layout of the network security architecture.
• Shape the evolution of network security services towards a standardized, automated, and platform-oriented model based on SASE and Zero Trust principles.
• Collaborate with Cybersecurity, Infrastructure, Cloud, and OT teams to design and implement secure connectivity solutions.
• Drive the automation of routine tasks and processes to manage increased workload and improve operational efficiency.
• Promote a culture of continuous improvement, evaluating new technologies and methodologies to enhance the organization's security posture.

What You Bring

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related technical field.
• Significant experience in IT infrastructure and network security, with demonstrated experience leading global teams and managing complex service environments.
• Leadership and process management skills, including workflow management, influencing and collaboration capabilities, accountability, process improvement, automation, and supplier management to drive operational excellence, foster stakeholder alignment, and support continuous business improvement.
• Expertise in technical network security, including network security, network infrastructure, routing, monitoring, and performance management, as well as configuration management and modern security frameworks such as SASE, ZTNA, and SSE to ensure secure, reliable, and high‑performing network environments.
• Relevant industry certifications, including Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP), CompTIA Security+, and Zscaler Certified Cloud Administrator (ZCCA), demonstrating advanced knowledge of network infrastructure, cybersecurity, and cloud security technologies.
