A Snapshot of Your Day
Siemens Energy is seeking a senior operations leader to head Coating Operations at its Hot Gas Path (HGP) Components Repair facility in Dammam, Saudi Arabia. This role holds end‑to‑end accountability for coating production performance, capability expansion, and organizational development, supporting both current repair demand and rapid growth toward next‑generation gas turbine platforms.
The position plays a critical role in scaling industrial capability, ensuring operational excellence, and building sustainable local expertise within a strategically important repair hub.
How You’ll Make an Impact
- Provide overall leadership and accountability for coating operations covering gas turbine blades, vanes, and combustors
- Own operational performance across safety, quality, delivery, cost, and productivity with measurable outcomes
- Lead thermal spray coating activities (bond coat and TBC), coating removal, automated blast stripping, and EDM & laser‑based hole opening
- Support current platforms (SGT6‑2000E, SGT6‑3000E, SGT6‑5000F) and drive readiness for advanced frames including SGT6‑9000HL
- Partner with Manufacturing Engineering on new technology and process qualification; assume responsibility for full industrialization and serial production execution
- Lead fast‑track capacity and technology expansion while maintaining stable, repeatable production performance
- Build, develop, and retain a high‑performing organization, with strong emphasis on hiring, training, and advancing Saudi talent in line with Saudi Vision 2030
- Drive continuous improvement, automation, and adoption of advanced manufacturing and coating technologies
- Collaborate as a peer with Manufacturing Engineering, Repair Operations, Quality, and Order Management to optimize end‑to‑end repair delivery
What You Bring
- University degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related discipline (advanced degree preferred)
- Minimum 10+ years of experience in thermal spray coatings for gas turbine components. Experience with segmented TBCs or advanced coating systems is an advantage
- Candidates may bring either established leadership experience or strong technical depth with clear evidence of readiness to step into an operational leadership role

Our Gas Services division offers Low-emission power generation through service and decarbonization. Zero or low emission power generation and all gas turbines under one roof, steam turbines and generators. Decarbonization opportunities through service offerings, modernization, and digitalization of the fleet.
