    A Snapshot of Your Day

The HVAC Engineer for Construction Projects is responsible for supporting, reviewing, and overseeing all Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning (HVAC) engineering activities during the execution of industrial construction projects, from design coordination through construction and commissioning phases.

This role ensures that HVAC systems are designed, installed, tested, and commissioned in compliance with Siemens Energy standards, project specifications, applicable codes, and local regulations. The position acts as a technical liaison between Siemens Energy Real Estate BSS, the General Contractor, HVAC subcontractors, engineering firms, and internal Siemens Energy stakeholders, contributing to safe, efficient, and reliable plant operation.

    How You’ll Make an Impact

    • ·       Review and coordinate HVAC design packages prepared by third-party engineering firms, ensuring alignment with Siemens Energy standards, energy efficiency requirements, and project scope.
    • ·       Supervise and monitor HVAC construction activities executed by the General Contractor and specialized subcontractors, verifying correct installation of equipment, ductwork, piping, insulation, and control systems.
    • ·       Identify technical deviations, constructability issues, and interface risks related to HVAC systems, proposing compliant and practical solutions in coordination with Project Management.
    • ·       Participate in inspections, functional testing, balancing, commissioning, and performance verification of HVAC systems, ensuring readiness for operation and compliance with design intent.
    • ·       Coordinate closely with Mechanical, Electrical, Civil, Automation, EHS, and Quality teams to ensure HVAC systems are properly integrated into overall construction and commissioning plans.
    • ·       Support technical documentation and reporting by managing punch lists, reviewing as-built documentation, and capturing lessons learned to support continuous improvement.

    What You Bring

    • ·       Strong technical knowledge of HVAC systems for industrial and manufacturing facilities, including air handling units (AHUs), ventilation systems, exhaust systems, chilled water systems, ductwork, and HVAC controls.
    • ·       Ability to interpret HVAC drawings, layouts, schematics, equipment datasheets, and technical specifications.
    • ·       Solid understanding of applicable HVAC standards and codes (ASHRAE, SMACNA, ISO, local mechanical codes) and ability to align them with Siemens Energy internal requirements.
    • ·       Experience coordinating with contractors and multidisciplinary project teams to resolve technical issues during construction and commissioning.
    • ·       Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a proactive and quality-focused mindset.
    • ·       Intermediate to advanced English proficiency (spoken and written) for technical coordination and reporting.
    • ·       High attention to detail, organizational skills, and commitment to safety, quality, and schedule adherence.

    Profile Summary

HVAC Engineer with a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or related discipline, and a minimum of 5 years of experience in industrial or large-scale construction projects.
