Control room operator

A Snap Shot of your Day:

Become familiar with all tools and equipment for generator core assembly. Perform fitting and assembly operations necessary to build and assemble complete cores, torque and tension bolts and hardware per drawings. Set up and operate robots, clean and detail cores. Build and assemble pressure plates and process all aspects of manufacturing service generator cores.

What You Bring

  • High school education or equivalent.
  • 4 or more years of industrial-mechanical experience. Proficiency with shop tools – grinders, sanders, drills, ratchets, wrenches, etc., and ability to choose optimal tool for the task.
  • Required to lift / move 50 lb. materials. Ability to use precision measuring equipment. Basic math skills. Ability to read, write, and complete simple forms.
  • Successful applicants must be able to pass hearing, vision, and pulmonary tests. Operator must be able to be fit to wear a respirator. Must be able to obtain fork truck and crane license.

Applicants must be legally authorized for employment in the United States without need for current or future employer-sponsored work authorization. Siemens Energy employees with current visa sponsorship may be eligible for internal transfers.

Our Gas Services division offers Low-emission power generation through service and decarbonization. Zero or low emission power generation and all gas turbines under one roof, steam turbines and generators. Decarbonization opportunities through service offerings, modernization, and digitalization of the fleet.
