Process Ownership:Collaborate with a team of experts to clarify accounting issues, analyze errors, implement vital corrections, and participate in process improvement initiatives with support from the General Ledger, Closing & Reporting Analyst.

Take ownership for daily General Ledger, Closing, and Reporting transactions, as well as month-end closing activities, ensuring timely and accurate recording in compliance with IFRS and local GAAP standards.

Collaboration & Teamwork: Build strong partnerships with internal and external stakeholders, including regional accounting hubs and local business teams within Siemens Energy’s global network.

Actively listen to stakeholder requests, lead sophisticated operational challenges, and take ownership of decisions alongside the General Ledger,

Closing & Reporting Analyst: Share best practices with relevant collaborators to enhance team effectiveness overall.

How You’ll Make an Impact

• Financial Reporting: Responsible for preparing periodic financial statements (monthly, quarterly, and annually) in compliance with IFRS and internal guidelines, ensuring adherence to deadlines.

• Month-End Activities: Execute month-end processes, perform account reconciliations, lead General Ledger housekeeping, and handle intercompany reconciliations and accrual postings.

• Support and Documentation: Assist Senior and Principal Analysts in preparing internal control documentation and support internal and external audits by providing timely information.

• Process Improvement: Engage in the implementation and documentation of new processes, update Desktop Procedure (DTP) documentation, and supply to the standardization and automation of workflows.

• Career Development and Collaboration: Foster personal growth through feedback and learning, while building strong partnerships with collaborators and giving to a collaborative environment focused on people, processes, and technology.

What You Bring

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field, or proven experience in General Ledger, Closing & Reporting Accounting.
• Preferably some initial experience in General Ledger, Closing & Reporting, or Accounting/Finance Operations.
• Basic understanding of accounting principles; knowledge of IFRS accounting is preferred.
• Proficient in MS Office, particularly MS Excel; basic understanding of business processes in SAP is a plus.
• Experience in transitions and transformation projects is advantageous.
• Willingness to travel for training and knowledge transfer; open, communicative nature with intermediate English skills.

Operating from centers in the Americas, Europe, and Asia, the team delivers accounting solutions that support SE’s mission to energize society. In this role, you will report to the Team Lead for General Ledger, Closing & Reporting, while also being part of both the local finance community and an international network of accounting professionals.
