A Snapshot of Your Day
The Field Service Resource Manager is responsible for strategically managing Field Service resources to fulfill operational commitments in Mexico for Industrial Gas Turbines. Core duties include leading talent management initiatives such as career development, role mapping, performance evaluation, and compensation reviews for Field Service personnel. The role also encompasses designing and overseeing training and certification programs to ensure compliance and technical proficiency, optimizing productivity by assigning tasks based on expertise and availability, and ensuring strict adherence to departmental budgets. Additional responsibilities involve coordinating the procurement of essential tools and resources, serving as the escalation point for international resource allocation, supporting outage planning in partnership with technical and district planners, and delivering regular progress reports to the District Service Manager.
How You’ll Make an Impact
Managing Field Service resources (on board of 22+ people) to meet operational commitments in Mexico and support Latin America fleet of Small (SGT), Medium (MGT) and Aeroderivative Gas Turbines (AGT). Key responsibilities include:
- Talent Management: Lead the career development, role mapping, performance evaluation, and annual compensation review processes for Field Service personnel. Design and manage training and certification programs to maintain compliance, technical proficiency, and regional capability growth for all turbine types.
- Productivity Optimization: Maximize productivity of Service Engineers by assigning tasks based on expertise and availability, in line with business objectives.
- Budget Oversight: Ensure adherence to departmental budgets for MGT, SGT, and AGT cost centers by working closely with the Finance Team. Oversee the procurement of EPP, licenses, personal tools, and other goods required for Field Service mobilizations.
- International Coordination: Act as the escalation point for international resource allocation, working with the Latin America Region and global hubs as needed.
- Outage Support: Assist in outage planning and resource assignments in partnership with the Technical Service Manager and District Planner.
- Progress Reporting: Deliver regular updates on progress and key metrics to the District Service Manager.
What You Bring
- University Degree in Industrial, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
- Professional Experience (7+ years) as a service planner or manager in the Power or Oil & Gas sectors, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- · Experience as Field Service Engineer is a plus.
- · General technical knowledge on turbines and power plants.
- · Good verbal communication skills with the ability to fluently speak, write, and read in English, at professional working proficiency level.
- · Willingness to travel occasionally for customers meetings.
