Siemens Energy's 'Onshore Field Service' team in South Africa plays a crucial role in the Field Service & Tooling organization in Europe and Africa. Our team is in charge of managing and staffing Field Service projects within the subregion on Gas services Distributed / Central and may also provide support outside the subregion as needed.

How You’ll Make an Impact

·       You will report directly to the Head of Onshore Field Service within your sub-region.

·       Manage the Field Service headcount within your organization.

·       Build strong partnerships and maintain open communication with respective PCCs within the Field Service global organization.

·       Maintain good communication with the Project Management (PM) organization.

·       Optimize the Field Service team setup based on short-term and long-term planning for both planned and unplanned outages.

·       Continuously optimize headcount regionalization versus the use of the product competency center (PCC) headcount for outage execution.

·       Ensure compliance with legal requirements related to the activity of field staff.

·       Oversee EHS responsibilities for the Field Service team and their activities at customer sites.

What You Bring

·       Strong Team Player with excellent leadership capabilities and communication skills.

·       Be able to apply these skills at all company levels withing you organization.

·       Good understanding of our company organization, including head offices and regions.

·       5+ years of personal (preferably hands on) experience in Field Service.

·       Experience in leading a team of 5+ people

·       Strong Project Management skills.

·       Fluent in English and Portuguese

·       Strong analytical skills, understanding of turnkey project set ups and understanding of various implementation concepts are essential.

·       Bachelor’s degree college/university in mechanical, electrical engineering, or equivalent.

About the Team

Our Gas Services division offers Low-emission power generation through service and decarbonization. Zero or low emission power generation and all gas turbines under one roof, steam turbines and generators.  Decarbonization opportunities through service offerings, modernization, and digitalization of the fleet.
