A Snapshot of Your Day
In this role, you will perform complex, technically demanding on-site work within a specialized Field Service area for gas turbines and generators. You will identify issues as they arise, take the appropriate steps to resolve them, and escalate only the most complex or unusual problems when needed.
How You’ll Make an Impact
- Play an active role in the planning and execution of Large Generators maintenance.
- Electrical testing of generator windings and stator, for example Partial discharge measurement, High voltage testing - AC and DC, Voltage drop measurement.
- Act as a key point of Contact / focal point for technical issues. This could relate to maintenance, commissioning, risk assessments and root cause analysis.
- Interact and reach out for support from a worldwide network of specialists and experts within Siemens Energy covering the Generators.
- Record of findings and robotic inspections of generator components during maintenances.
- Creation of technical report describing all interventions during an outage.
- Promote a zero-harm culture in both facilities and offices. This includes stopping work to ensure safe execution of outages.

What You Bring
- Bachelor’s, Master’s or comparable degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
- Advanced knowledge of generator technology, including operation, maintenance, manufacturing, testing and repair processes.
- Strong understanding of materials used in generator components and related applications.
- Advanced written and spoken English skills.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to prepare, present and discuss technical topics with internal and external stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently, take ownership of technical topics and collaborate effectively across internal networks.

Our Gas Services division supports low-emission power generation through service and decarbonization solutions. It brings gas turbines, steam turbines and generators together under one roof, offering opportunities to decarbonize the fleet through service, modernization and digitalization.
