    A Snapshot of Your Day 

    As a Lead Engineer for Protection Systems in High Voltage (HV) Projects at Grid Automation, you will plan and engineer projects of Protection and Control Systems for High Voltage Switchgear. The development of concepts according to customer specifications, including budgetary price estimations, is also part of your day. You have the capability to support our customers in decision making for the optimized protection and control system concept. You will act as the bid manager and work together with project management and other domain experts within your team.

    How You’ll Make an Impact 

    • Design and Technical Clarifications: Design protection and control systems, and clarify technical details with customers, EPCs, and consultants.
    • Proposal and Documentation Creation: Develop budgetary proposals and project-specific technical documents, manuals, etc.
    • Supplier Supervision: Oversee and ensure quality from external suppliers in secondary protection systems.
    • Customer Training and Support: Conduct training sessions and support commissioning activities.
    • Bid Management: Lead the Protection and Substation Automation Team in Brazil, ensuring effective solution delivery.
    • Quality, Time, and Cost Management: Ensure the quality, timeliness, and cost-effectiveness of your results.

    What You Bring

    • Completed university degree in electrical engineering, automation or comparable education
    • Solid experience with protection systems. *Candidates with more experience may be considered for a higher level and vice versa
    • Necessary experience working with brands such as SIEMENS (SIPROTEC), Hitachi Energy, SEL, GE for HV substations
    • Knowledge of different protection philosophies and protection test equipment, protection test equipment, and power distribution/transmission market
    • Takes ownership and acts as an ambassador, focusing on the customer’s perspective when setting priorities and taking action. Driven by impact and focused on results
    • Willing and able to travel up to 30% domestically and occasionally internationally
    • Must be fluent in Portuguese and English languages
