A Snapshot of Your Day
As an Environmental, Health, and Safety Manager in Projects at Siemens Energy, you’ll be embedded within dynamic offshore wind projects, collaborating closely with internal teams, clients, contractors, and external agencies to ensure a safe and compliant work environment. Your day will involve proactive planning, mentoring, inspections, and strategic leadership to drive a Zero Harm culture throughout all phases of project and ensure safe and high-quality project delivery.
How You’ll Make an Impact
- Ensure all vital EHS project documentation is prepared in compliance with internal, client, and statutory requirements.
- Coordinate hazard identification and risk management processes during planning, review contractor documentation, and support audits to ensure safety standards are met and continuously improved.
- Provide expert guidance and mentoring to project teams and EHS advisors, promoting a positive safety culture and responsible attitudes toward health, safety, and environmental practices.
- Act as the primary interface for EHS matters with clients, subcontractors, and external stakeholders, fostering transparent communication and strong cooperative relationships.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives, investigations, and ensure corrective actions are implemented and tracked effectively.
- Monitor and report HSE performance through monthly reports, emergency response drills, and trend analysis, escalating issues as needed to maintain compliance and drive excellence.
What You Bring
- Proven experience (minimum 3 years) in operational EHS within offshore renewables or high-risk construction environments, with strong knowledge of domestic and international EHS legislation and industry standards.
- Experience working abroad in a multicultural environment, preferably within renewables, or a similar heavily regulated industry.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and coordinate EHS team on site, conduct audits and inspections, and manage incident investigations with a focus on root cause analysis and preventive actions.
- Strong project management skills, including planning, resource coordination, and performance measurement against KPIs, with a proactive approach to continuous improvement.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of influencing stakeholders from field operatives to senior management and fostering a culture of safety and collaboration.
- High-level professional EHS qualifications (Diploma or Degree), membership in a recognized institution (e.g., IOSH), and commitment to ongoing professional development.
- Willingness to travel extensively, including international assignments, with a valid driver’s license and readiness to engage in site visits and overnight stays.
- Proficiency in English both orally and in writing.
