A Snapshot of Your Day:
As an EHS Specialist at Siemens Energy, you will engage with safety-conscious professionals who possess a robust background in occupational health and safety, particularly within the power generation sector. You will lead impactful projects aimed at implementing and enhancing the Siemens O&M EHS program, conducting risk assessments, and developing training programs that promote a culture of safety and compliance. Your contributions will significantly influence the team, clients, and partners, ensuring a safe working environment that aligns with Siemens Energy’s commitment to sustainable and responsible energy solutions, all within a collaborative team culture that values mentorship and continuous improvement.
How You’ll Make an Impact:
- Report to the EHS Manager, providing insights on safety compliance and improvements.
- Implement the Siemens O&M EHS program, ensuring compliance and driving continual improvement.
- Lead and mentor EHS technicians to cultivate a culture of safety within the power plant.
- Conduct risk reviews, compliance audits, and internal assessments aligned with IFC guidelines.
- Develop and deliver EHS training programs to support hazard assessments and accident investigations.
- Monitor compliance with safety legislation and conduct regular site inspections.
What You Bring:
- 3-5 years of experience in occupational health and safety, preferably in power generation.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in science or engineering.
- Proficiency in health and safety management systems, with certifications like ISO45001 and NEBOSH IGC preferred.
- Experience in conducting risk assessments and implementing effective safety measures.
- Strong communication skills for leading training sessions and participating in meetings.
- Diligent approach to documentation and inspection processes, ensuring compliance and prompt resolution of issues.
About the Team:
Our Gas Services division offers Low-emission power generation through service and decarbonization. Zero or low emission power generation and all gas turbines under one roof, steam turbines and generators. Decarbonization opportunities through service offerings, modernization, and digitalization of the fleet.
