A Snapshot of Your Day
As a Digital Strategy Consultant at Siemens Energy, your day is centered on shaping and driving the corporate Digital and IT strategy at the highest levels of the organization. You’ll lead strategy workstreams and workshops with senior leadership and Executive Board members, translating emerging technology trends into compelling strategic recommendations. With a sharp analytical eye, you evaluate transformation initiatives, build business cases, and manage a portfolio of digital projects that ensure a direct line from strategic planning to execution and value realization. Your expertise in C-level communication turns complex digital topics into clear, decision-ready narratives. Every day, you are the strategic engine behind Siemens Energy’s digital transformation agenda.
How You’ll Make an Impact - Digital and IT Strategy Development: Lead and facilitate Digital and IT strategy workstreams and workshops with senior leadership and Executive Board members, developing and articulating the corporate Digital and IT strategy in alignment with long-term business goals and the Digital Core masterplan
- Strategic Research and Technology Assessment: Conduct continuous research and analysis of emerging digital technologies, IT trends, industry developments, and competitive trends to identify strategic opportunities and threats, preparing and presenting compelling strategic recommendations, business cases, and technology assessments to senior management for investment decisions
- Transformation Initiative and Portfolio Management: Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to define, prioritize, and govern a portfolio of Digital and IT initiatives, establishing and managing milestones, timelines, and resource plans for the successful execution of the Digital and IT transformation roadmap
- Cost-Benefit and Vendor Evaluation: Conduct cost-benefit analyses and support the evaluation and selection of vendors and technologies for strategic Digital and IT investments, ensuring seamless facilitation and coordination of contributions from all Digital Core and Digital Product and Technology teams into the strategic workstreams
- Strategic Communication and Executive Enablement: Design and deliver C-level, consulting-quality presentations that translate complex digital strategy, AI, and operating-model topics into clear, structured, decision-ready narratives, synthesizing quantitative analysis, benchmarks, and outside-in perspectives into concise visuals such as charts, heatmaps, value trees, and maturity curves
What You Bring- Master’s degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, Strategic Management, or a related field is highly preferred, combined with extensive experience (typically 8+ years) in strategic consulting, corporate strategy, or a digital transformation role within a large, complex organization.
- Demonstrated experience in developing and executing corporate-level Digital and IT strategies, with a proven ability to lead complex transformation programs in a global organization and communicate effectively with executive-level stakeholders
- Strong strategic thinking, business acumen, and analytical skills, including competitive analysis, financial analysis, and the ability to synthesize complex information into actionable recommendations
- Proven expertise in project portfolio management, process improvement, change management, and workflow management, with a track record of driving transformation initiatives from planning to execution
- Exceptional influencing skills, thought leadership capability, and stakeholder engagement experience, paired with strong data visualization skills to create compelling executive-level presentations using top-down storylining, hypothesis-driven argumentation, and rigorous message hierarchy
About the Team
Join the Masterplan Portfolio Performance Management team within Siemens Energy’s Digital Core. This role is critical for ensuring the continued contribution and facilitation of Digital Core and Digital Process Transformation strategy topics for the CIO Board, and for facilitating strategy topics towards the Executive Board. You will work at the intersection of high-level Digital and IT strategy development, transformation initiative leadership, and strategic communication, ensuring a direct line from strategic planning to execution and value realization across the organization.
