A Snapshot of Your Day

As an Applied Data Scientist in the Digital Operations Team (GT Solutions Unit), you develop predictive and prescriptive analytics that improve transparency, planning quality, and operational decision-making across end‑to‑end execution (e.g., schedule risk, workload forecasting, quality deviations, execution risks). You partner with operational teams, process owners, product managers, BI teams, and IT to deliver models that are not only accurate—but also used in real operations.

How You’ll Make an Impact

• Take ownership of the design and development of predictive and prescriptive models and advanced analytics for core Digital Operations processes.
• Perform advanced analytics on operational and project-related data to identify patterns, bottlenecks, inefficiencies, and improvement opportunities.
• Translate business needs into robust analytical solutions with clear KPIs, success criteria, and measurable value.
• Drive the analytical “data product” foundation for priority use cases: define required datasets, data quality expectations, and data contracts with data/IT partners.
• Define requirements for embedding model outputs into dashboards and digital products; partner with BI/product teams to operationalize insights at scale.
• Document models, assumptions, decision logic, and solution architecture; contribute to knowledge sharing and adoption.

What You Bring

• Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• 3+ years of hands-on experience building and deploying analytics/ML solutions in production environments.
• Strong proficiency in Python and common ML/data libraries (e.g., pandas, scikit-learn; TensorFlow/PyTorch is a plus).
• Strong analytical thinking, structured problem solving, and attention to detail (especially around data quality and model robustness).
• Strong communication skills—able to explain technical outcomes to non-technical stakeholders.
• Very good English; German is a plus.
