A Snapshot of Your Day
Step into the Electrical Design Tools team within the Transformers business unit and help secure business continuity by keeping critical engineering tools moving forward. You will develop and maintain the specialized software our engineering teams rely on for transformer design and feature implementation. Your work spans three key areas: full lifecycle software development for design tools, ongoing maintenance and user support to keep tools stable and usable, and collaborative requirements engineering that turns complex needs into functional software solutions. With every release and improvement, you will keep a direct connection between what you build and what design engineers need in daily operations.
How You’ll Make an Impact
- Contribute to the development of new features and the enhancement of existing functionalities for electrical design tools supporting transformer engineering.
- Implement high quality software components in mainly in C#, with a focus on geometry calculations and physical model creation.
- Conduct code reviews, perform unit testing, and ensure clear and complete documentation throughout the development process
- Collaborate with the technical lead to analyze user stories and deliver features according to requirements and timelines
- Work closely with interdisciplinary teams across departments and international sites
What You Bring
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field.
- Strong programming experience in C#, ideally within engineering or simulation software environments.
- Knowledge about high voltage technology and transformers is considered an advantage.
- Experience in Azure DevOps, Git, Nuget and other development tools.
- Ability to work effectively in cross functional and international teams as well as willingness to travel internationally.
- Familiarity with agile development methodologies such as Scrum or SAFe.
