The Drafter/Designer provides 2D and 3D modeling to execute designs on projects with major clients.

How You’ll Make an Impact

• 3-D Modeling and Drawings of components / assemblies related to packaging of Gas Turbine Systems. Creates solid model assemblies in NX to ensure form, fit and function logic is met, and ensuring assembly to mating parts are correct.
• Migration of 2-D drawings to 3-D models using commercial engineering CAD software. Maintain drawing revision control.
• Follow Siemens Energy global engineering standards and drafting practices. Create fabrication drawings & pipe isometrics.
• Creates engineering prints and bills of material. Create line diagrams like P&IDs, electrical schematics, and wiring diagrams. Execute engineering design projects. Recording and tracking of time utilized for various projects.
• Responsible for designs on multiple projects, which demands the individual to be self-directed and capable of working as part of a team to ensure deliverables are on time to best practices.
• Liaise with other engineers and vendors to assure functional integration of products and associated designs. Maintain confidentiality of proprietary information of Siemens Energy products.
• Follow and Maintain all Quality and Safety Norms within Organization

What You Bring

• 5+ years of experience related to the area
• Excellent proficiency in Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, PowerPoint
• Must have the ability to prioritize, manage time well, troubleshoot and work in a fast-paced and deadline driven environment. Must be organized and detailed oriented with the ability to multi-task.
• Excellent written and verbal communication/presentation skills/fluent in English.
• Experience with PDM system, preferably Teamcenter. Experience with NX, or other PLM software, preferably NX within a Teamcenter integration and proficiency in NX computer-aided design and drafting. Ability to create detailed 2D and 3D models using CAD software.
• Proficient understanding of ASME Y14.5 Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T)
• Strong soft personal skill i.e., team player, quick learner, ability to adapt quickly & effectively etc.
• Experience in the oil and gas industry.
• Knowledge of a production planning and schedule-based environment
• Result Oriented Person overcoming all Internal and external hurdles.
• Candidate should have experience leading a team, this candidate will have the opportunity to transition into a leadership/coordinator role that will lead other designers/drafters.

Our Gas Services division offers Low-emission power generation through service and decarbonization. Zero or low emission power generation and all gas turbines under one roof, steam turbines and generators. Decarbonization opportunities through service offerings, modernization, and digitalization of the fleet.
