We are looking for a Deputy Operations Manager to support our operations at Hollandse Kust Zuid Offshore Windfarm in IJmuiden, Netherlands.
How You’ll Make an Impact
- Supports Operations Manager in daily business, most importantly in all aspects of creating a proactive safety culture and clarifying customer requirements. Stand in for Operations Manager in case of absence.
- Collaborate with Site to solve operational topics and escalate where necessary
- Coordinates resources.
- Monitor and report progress and milestones regularly to all stakeholders.
- Maximize customer benefit of services provided while at the same time having a strong focus on financial success of Siemens Energy. Create situations of mutual benefit for all parties involved.
- Responsible for meeting all project milestones and technical objectives.
- Support of relevant EHS processes and measurements.
- Supports on administrative topics regarding site employees.
- Facilitate and maintain clear communication with the Customer.
- Follow up on technical topics where needed. Communicate with engineering and technical support with site feedback and escalations.
- Liaise and negotiate with 3rd parties on contracts, organization of work, and administration of logistics.
- Ensures proper documentation of project results, and of all products or technologies delivered.
What You Bring
- You hold a university educational degree. Practical professional experience can be taken into consideration as a replacement for education level.
- Strong willingness to improve existing processes and drive other business units to support as necessary.
- Passion for safety, wind energy, and operational excellence.
- You have 3+ years of operational experience in a similar role and ideally in the industry.
- You are fluent in English. Dutch language skills are a definite plus.
- Occasional travel for training and business meetings is required.
- Must be willing and able and to occasionally visit and climb offshore wind turbines.
- Customer focus and professional skill set towards clients, colleagues and management are self-evident.
- Be a Team player with multiple internal and external stakeholders.
- A sound technical background and proven skills are a plus.
- Experience in Project Management (e g. PMI or IPMA Certification) is a plus.
