A Snapshot of Your Day

In the morning, you review technical documents from engineering for a cost-out improvement of the converter platform, providing feedback and approving those that meet your standards. Before lunch, you have a call with the procurement team about placing a new order with the manufacturer. After lunch, you receive an update from control engineers on the implementation of enhanced functions for the converter platform and validation of its simulation model. In the afternoon, you assist an ongoing project with questions about the manufacturing of converter systems for a large-scale electrolysis project. Before the day ends, you refine the commissioning instructions for the field team.

How You’ll Make an Impact
  • Master’s degree or PhD in electrical engineering, with strong focus on power electronics (ideally Thyristor-based systems)
  • Experience in the design, manufacturing, commissioning and/or testing of MW-sized thyristor-based converter systems
  • Background in electrolysis or high-current applications beneficial
  • Highly self-organized and reliable, with a strong sense of ownership and strategic and product-oriented mindset
  • Good communication skills in English, German is a plus
  • Willingness to travel and spend 30-75% of the time with the numerous interface partners in Erlangen / Germany or at any of the operating or manufacturing sites
What You Bring
