Your role will assist in our marketing and communications efforts in Canada. Every day you will experience the dynamics of marketing and communications in a global organization, working on different tasks including: writing and editing, photo and video production and editing, and event coordination. You will be working on multiple projects at once with several stakeholders. Great opportunity to try your hand at many different kinds of communication projects.

How You’ll Make an Impact

• Provide communications and/or marketing advice that supports business goals and objectives;
• Support the development and implementation of communications and/or marketing plans;
• Support content creation and storytelling, including digital media, video production and website activities;
• Assist with event planning and execution;
• Assist and support diversity and inclusion initiatives;
• Work in coordination with North American Communications Team in implementing plans and tactics; and
• Perform other related duties as needed.

What You Bring

• An active registered student in good standing in a post-secondary communications-oriented program such as Public Relations or Corporate Communications or a recent graduate;
• A quick learner that can work independently and as part of a team;
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, ever-changing, and collaborative environment;
• Ability to manage your time in a hybrid work environment;
• Highly organized and detail-oriented;
• Familiar with the principles of good communications planning;
• Experience with content creation, especially for social media;
• Experience in supporting corporate events;
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills – written and verbal;
• Excellent computer skills – Word, Excel, PowerPoint, video editing tools; and
• Technical knowledge of the energy and electricity sectors is not required but is an asset

About the Team  

Siemens Energy is seeking an intern to assist in our marketing and communications efforts in Canada. This internship is an excellent opportunity to experience the dynamics of marketing and communications in a multi-national organization. This communications internship is a 12-month, full-time paid internship based out of our Oakville, Ontario headquarters. This role requires an energetic, dedicated and detail-oriented person who can manage multiple tasks. This individual is a team-player with an entrepreneurial spirit and willingness to learn.
