A Snapshot of Your Day

The Client Service Manager will manage the scope, schedule, and cost of repair projects in execution at the Houston Service Center. You will create inspection reports and repair proposals for steam turbines, centrifugal and reciprocating compressors, safety valves, and other related turbomachinery equipment. Serve as clients’ direct point of contact while repairs are ongoing at the service center. Work alongside a team of mechanics, machinists, weld technicians, inspectors, engineers, and project managers in the repair of critical turbomachinery equipment. Customers include oil refineries, petrochemical plants, power plants, universities, hospitals, and mechanical contractors.

How You’ll Make an Impact

  • Manage Repair Projects: Oversee scope, schedule, and cost of turbomachinery repair projects at the Houston Service Center.
  • Client Communication: Act as the primary client contact, translating customer specifications into actionable tasks for technical teams.
  • Technical Documentation: Create inspection reports, repair proposals, and detailed work instructions referencing technical standards.
  • Parts and Drawings Review: Analyze bills of materials and manufacturing drawings to identify and list required replacement parts.
  • Project Monitoring and Reporting: Track job costs, ensure budget adherence, and deliver progress reports to stakeholders.
  • Quality, Safety, and Lean Support: Ensure compliance with quality standards, support safety initiatives, and contribute to Lean implementation projects.

What You Bring

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business or Engineering preferred. HS diploma with proven equivalent experience required.
  • 3+ years of experience in rotating/reciprocating equipment repairs or quoting repair scopes. Those with more experience may be considered for a more senior level.
  • Proven ability to manage full project life cycles and costs in a fast-paced, manufacturing or service environment.
  • Skilled in interpreting shop instructions and manufacturing drawings; proficient in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, and Outlook.
  • Experience in organizations with strong safety and quality standards; committed to continuous improvement.
  • Strong work ethic, team-oriented, teachable, and open to feedback; willing to work occasional overtime during client outages.
