A Snapshot of Your Day
You are responsible for coordinating, implementing, and supervising the civil contractors' scope of supply for the overall plant construction site. This role involves effective execution of civil contractor responsibilities, ensuring compliance with design specifications, contracts, time schedules, and safety standards.
How You’ll Make an Impact
- On-site Activities: Coordinate the civil site team and all civil activities related to the project. Inspect construction sites to monitor progress and conformance.
- Contractor Management: Track schedules and implement counter measures. Ensure contractors align with technical specifications, QA/QC, time schedules, and HSE standards. Identify risks and opportunities, manage claims, and report them.
- Cost Management: Follow-up budget for civil scope of work in order to establish counter measures. Supporting General Site Manager and Project Manager on risk and opportunities and claim management. Check and approve re-measurement payment (if applicable) and time sheets for monthly invoicing. Close follow-up of additional works.
- Technical Management: Close collaboration with Civil Engineering and 3rd party in respect of solving technical queries. Check and review Field Quality Plans. Establish RFI procedure on site (Request for Information/ Technical queries) and track clarification process together with Project Manager Civil. Check constructability of civil design documents and provide feedback to Engineering. Follow-up of Non-Conformance Reports (NCR's) and approve as built documentation provided by contractors.
- Management: Supporting and reporting to General Site Manager, Project Manager and Civil Engineering on regular basis regarding HSE, quality, documentation, time schedule and progress, risk and opportunities, contracts, claims, workforce deployment, forecast, contactors performance, deliveries, remarkable events.
- HSE Compliance: Supervise and maintain HSE requirements as per Company Policy, laws and standards and its documentation. Align with Siemens Energy Compliance and Business Conduct Guidelines. Application of national and international safety rules and regulations.
What You Bring
- Wide range of knowledge in construction site management and various civil fields.
- Bachelor’s or equivalent experience in civil engineering, construction management, or a related field.
- Proficient in spoken and written English and Italian; basic knowledge of German is a plus.
- Leadership experience in managing a workforce and subcontractors within a construction environment.
- Experience working with international teams.
- Familiarity with BIM and modern communication methods like LEAN is a bonus.
- Availability to travel and work abroad on both long and short-term basis.
