A Snapshot of Your Day
As a Business Controller (f/m/d) in the GS BC Solutions Project Controlling team, you support some of the largest and most complex Gas Services Solutions projects. You ensure transparency, accuracy, and insight across forecasting, budgeting, portfolio planning, and performance controlling activities.You collaborate closely with Project Execution, Business Controlling and GS SO management, consolidating and validating financial data that drives decisions in our Solutions business. A key part of your role is to strengthen and further develop our digital tool landscape. You identify opportunities to automate workflows, enhance data structures, and unlock smarter, more reliable reporting.You translate financial data into clear narratives, provide actionable insights, and contribute to the continuous improvement of our global controlling processes. Each day, your work strengthens transparency and enhances financial performance across our portfolio of Execution and Warranty projects.
How You’ll Make an Impact - Steer financial performance by preparing, consolidating, and analyzing forecasts, budgets, and monthly closing for major Gas Services Solutions projects.
- Analyze key financial drivers for complex Gas Services Solutions projects and deliver clear financial reports, including deviation analyses and meaningful performance insights.
- Support Solutions projects in complex setup topics, accounting questions, and forecast/reporting issues to ensure reliable financial steering.
- Collaborate closely with stakeholders in Performance Controlling, Project Execution, and SO Management to ensure aligned assumptions, transparent data flows, and accurate reporting.
- Drive digitalization and continuous improvement by enhancing and maintaining key controlling tools (e.g., ProjectDAsh, Alteryx, iTwo, Jedox), strengthening data structures, coordinating master and financial data loads, ensuring data integrity, and supporting global key user communities through optimization initiatives and change request management.
What You Bring- Completed degree in Business Administration, Finance, Controlling, or a comparable field
- Professional experience in controlling environment
- Strong interest in digitalization, automation, and modern controlling tools (experience with Jedox, Alteryx, Tableau is highly desirable). Ability to translate financial data into clear insights and actionable recommendations.
- Analytical mindset with affinity for numbers, data models, and structured problem solving.
- Knowledge of accounting, reporting, and controlling principles; experience with SAP, ProjectDAsh, or iTwo is a plus.
- Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset; ability to work in an international environment.
- Proficiency in English and German

Our Gas Services division offers Low-emission power generation through service and decarbonization. Zero or low emission power generation and all gas turbines under one roof, steam turbines and generators. Decarbonization opportunities through service offerings, modernization, and digitalization of the fleet.
