A Snapshot of Your Day
We are seeking to combine the strengths of a Bid Manager with the strengths of a Project Manager in one position. Do you have a strong technical background in Control and Protection Systems in High Voltage Substations? This role is part of the Grid Automation team, which provides solutions for Control and Protection Systems for High Voltage Substations to the customer.
As a Bid and Project Manager for Control and Protection Systems in High Voltage Projects, your tasks cover the preparation and presentation of technical and commercial bids as well as having the full responsibility of a Project Manager to deliver automation and protection projects within the project targets to the satisfaction of internal and external customers. Together with a network of technical experts, you implement state-of-the art technologies in the projects. Beyond this, you drive the future of digital substations.
How You’ll Make an Impact
- Build proposals for EPC’s (Engineering, Procurement, and Construction) and end customer within field of Protection and Control system in High Voltage and Medium Voltage (HV and MV) substations including hardware and software scope of supply.
- Independently analyze customer technical specifications to understand product and solution aspects.
- Ensure high-quality and timely preparation and presentation of proposals.
- Manage projects in protection, control, and cybersecurity for HV projects, ensuring delivery within timeline, budget, and quality.
- Handle interface management with subcontractors and manage risks, opportunities, and claims.
- Cooperate closely with technical experts and provide regular project reporting to management.
What You Bring
- Completed university degree in electrical engineering, automation or similar
- > 10 years of experience in the Energy transmission sector *Candidates with more experience may be considered for a higher level and vice versa
- Strong technical background in protection, control and substation automation in HV substations; Ability to influence and build strong customer relationships
- > 3 years of Project management experience (preferably with certification according to IPMA, PM@Siemens or similar) and 5 or more years of Bid Management and offer preparation experience
- Willing and able to travel, as needed, domestically and occasionally internationally. Estimated 40% travel for meeting purposes with customers, events, fairs
- Must be fluent in Spanish and English languages
