A Snapshot of Your Day

As a Bid Manager you will spearhead the preparation of Technical and Commercial Proposals for repair, overhaul and maintenance services for turbo machinery across the power generation industry. The Bid Manager is the key interface between Sales and Operations, with overall responsibility for bid process and strategy. You will support the Sales organization with Client discussions, define technical solutions with Engineering, develop and review supplier bids with Supply Chain, and lead cost / lead-time reduction efforts with Operations.

You will develop technical solutions using Siemens Energy tools and processes. You will ensure the commercial offerings are within the pricing guidelines and commercial governance requirements of Siemens Energy. How You’ll Make an Impact

•        Own and drive the end-to-end proposal process in close collaboration with the Sales organization

•        Support customer facing technical and commercial contract negotiations, with full accountability for cost calculations

•        Define scope of supply and manage all technical comments, clarifications, and deviations to customer specifications

•        Coordinate with global factories and engineering teams on product and service configuration, development, and capacity planning

•        Identify, assess, and mitigate technical and commercial project risks during the bid phase, presenting recommendations to Senior Management

What You Bring

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, industrial technology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience
• 5+ years of experience in Steam or Gas Turbine engineering, project execution, bid management, or a related technical role
• Customer facing experience, including clarification of customer requirements and participation in technical and commercial contract negotiations
• Strong engineering fundamentals, including the ability to read engineering drawings and understand core design principles
• Prior experience leading complex, capital-equipment bids or proposals
• Strong business acumen with the ability to balance technical, commercial, and risk considerations.

About the Team

Our Gas Services division offers Low-emission power generation through service and decarbonization. Zero or low emission power generation and all gas turbines under one roof, steam turbines and generators. Decarbonization opportunities through service offerings, modernization, and digitalization of the fleet.
