Snapshot of your day
In your new role as a Bid Manager (f/m/d) you will lead activities related to tender preparation for opportunities within our Grid Automation organisation globally with specific focus on Control Center projects (including SW & HW scope of supply for SCADA/EMS/DMS projects). You will evaluate customer RFQ’s, define bid strategy, and manage the development of proposal (technical solution, clarification & deviation, scope, cost, risks, mitigation and guarantees). Furthermore you will provide technical support for the front-end sales organization or internal customers in meetings, presentations and negotiations and active participation in developing value proposition in accordance with customer and market requirements.
How You’ll Make an Impact
- Interacting with a global cross-disciplinary team to coordinate proposal development and ensure bid competitiveness
- Supporting the creation of commercial and technical project documentation, coordination with commercial, partner, supplier, regional sales and legal experts
- Managing the tender approval process for the bid team and escalate, if necessary to appropriate levels to solve critical aspects depending upon tender, customer requirements, and concerns
- Ensuring assurance of the preparation of the proposals in high quality and in timeline with the customer requirements
- Analyzing customers' technical setup in order to better judge on aspects of product and solution integration
- Close cooperation and coordination with technical experts
- Creating and maintaining the standardized offer documents
What You Bring
- Completed university degree in electrical engineering, control and automation technology or physics
- Several years of work experience with substation control and protection systems in energy transmission and distribution
- Professional experience in bid management / tendering of complex, international bids for large energy projects
- Good understanding of the power distribution/transmission market and technologies, mainly in protection, control and HMI solutions, SCADA, IT/OT integration, digitalization with IoT solutions and cyber security
- Result-oriented with a strong analytical mentality, extraordinary teammate preferably in intercultural teams and customer focused
- Fluent English skills; German language skills are a plus
