A Snapshot of Your Day 

As Supplier Quality Engineer (f/m/d) you will support the Grid Technologies Execution Unit “Substations” to support the growing business and its supply chain. 

Setting the process basis and supporting the business by conducting audits & assessments, qualifications and developing a supply base is integral part of your daily contribution. By closely monitoring the quality of deliverables and performance of suppliers, you are ensuring they are in line with our quality program and will improve the efficiency of our company.

In Grid Substations, every day is not the same in our multicultural team and global supplier market. You will be responsible for the development of the best-performing suppliers for our global customers and make a significant contribution to the energy transition and stabilization. How You’ll Make an Impact 
  • Performs, drives, and ensures on-time supplier qualification, product/process qualification & technical supplier development in order to provide a global, demand covering, quality assured and cost effective supply base for the components within a certain commodity
  • Ensures and continuously improves the quality of suppliers and their deliveries. Supports cross-functional cooperation with Procurement, Quality Management, EHS, Manufacturing & Logistics, Engineering and Project Management 
  • Ensures compliance to applicable regulatory and Quality & EHS requirements
  • Supports and drives to maintain and improve the Siemens Energy Supplier Quality Management System; implements and tracks measures and activities to ensure the requested quality of the supplied components and services
  • Supports to develop and implement supply chain strategies and roadmaps for certain project demands 
  • Performing supplier qualifications incl. supplier audits in acc. to IMS standards and with strong focus on EHS
What You Bring
  • Bachelor’s degree preferably in electrical engineering or a comparable field
  • Strong professional experience as a quality engineer or engineer with hands-on project business experience
  • QMiP (Quality Manager in Projects) qualification and solid expertise in quality control, auditing, and ISO standards (9001, preferably also 14001 & 45001)
  • Professional experience in technical roles within Energy, Transmission, or related industries
  • Familiarity with root cause analysis as well as quality and risk management methodologies
  • Excellent communication skills in German and English
  • Intercultural experience, willingness to work with multicultural teams and travel globally
