A Snapshot of Your Day
Steam Turbine Service Engineer, deliver outstanding service and solutions to our clients. This opportunity allows you to be part of a driven team striving for excellence and top-tier performance.
How You’ll Make an Impact
- Act as a key point of Contact / focal point for technical issues within the region. This could relate to ST validation, commissioning, trouble shooting, performance tests, balancing, risk assessments and root cause analysis.
- Interact and reach out for support from a worldwide network of specialists and experts within Siemens Energy covering the Steam Turbines and Balance of Plant.
- Support the preparation and the execution of maintenance outages as part of cross functional global teams. This includes scope definition, spare parts and tooling requirements.
- Present and discuss technical solutions during internal and external meetings.
- Provide support directly on site at Power Plants as and when required. Provide recommendations and advice to support the Field Service organization and ensure smooth outage execution.
- Active participation required during post outage reviews to identify possible Modification & Upgrade opportunities and to identify key lessons learnt for the future.
- Customer 1st approach required at all times to focus on the requirements and demands from our customers across the Region.
- Promote a zero harm culture both at site and in office locations. This includes speaking up and if required stop work when necessary to ensure safe outage execution
What You Bring
- Bachelor, Master or comparable engineering degrees on Mechanical Engineering or related disciplines
- Intermediate knowledge on Siemens Energy Steam Turbine technology
- Basic knowledge on manufacturing and repair technologies
- Basic knowledge on materials
- Good verbal and written communications skills in English
- Knowledge and experience of working in Egypt & RME.
- Collaboration and networking skills are crucial to perform this role.
About the Team
Our Gas Services division offers Low-emission power generation through service and decarbonization. Zero or low emission power generation and all gas turbines under one roof, steam turbines and generators. Decarbonization opportunities through service offerings, modernization, and digitalization of the fleet.
