A Snapshot of Your Day
As a Primary Design Engineer, you will be responsible for the primary engineering design of High Voltage (HV) substations, ensuring the delivery of high-quality engineering solutions throughout the project lifecycle. You will prepare key design deliverables, collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, and support project execution by providing accurate technical designs that meet customer requirements and industry standards.
Working closely with engineering, project execution teams, and customers, you will contribute to the successful delivery of transmission and distribution projects while ensuring technical excellence and compliance with applicable specifications.
How You'll Make an Impact
- Develop primary engineering designs for High Voltage (HV) substation projects.
- Prepare Single Line Diagrams (SLDs), General Layouts, Equipment Layouts, Earthing Designs, Lightning Protection layouts, Cable Engineering designs, and Control Interface Diagrams (CIDs).
- Prepare material estimations and Bills of Quantities (BoQs) for primary equipment.
- Review civil and structural drawings to ensure compatibility with engineering requirements.
- Conduct site visits to support engineering activities and validate technical designs.
- Coordinate with multidisciplinary engineering teams to gather technical inputs and ensure design consistency.
- Collaborate with Project Execution teams throughout project implementation.
- Support customer design reviews and approval processes.
- Ensure engineering deliverables comply with project specifications, applicable standards, and quality requirements.
What You Bring
Education
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from a recognized university.
Experience
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in Primary Engineering Design.
- Experience in the design of High Voltage (HV) substations is preferred.
- Experience preparing primary design deliverables for transmission and distribution projects.
- Experience working with multidisciplinary engineering and project execution teams.

- High Voltage (HV) Substation Primary Design.
