A Snapshot of Your Day
As part of a wider HR transformation program and the spin-off of Siemens Energy from Siemens, the payroll operating model moving forward will be fully comprehensive. It will be split between a professional HR Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) provider for zero to gross processing and handled payroll (gross to net) with industry-leading payroll providers. We are looking for a Regional Payroll Manager who will handle the payroll service delivery in Austria, Switzerland, and partially Germany. This role involves working alongside a global and complementary team of senior payroll leaders to ensure and maintain fit-for-purpose processes, governing end-to-end delivery in a timely and accurate manner.
How You’ll Make an Impact
- Responsible for the payroll transformation and support the Regional Payroll Lead with service handling the external partners and payroll providers
- Maintain strong relationships with payroll vendors at the regional level (DACH) and collaborate regularly with other HR Services teams.
- Ensure payroll performance of third parties through key performance and risk indicators, and find opportunities for improvement, such as automating processes, to ensure global standards and efficient operational delivery.
- Manage the communication with local and regional customers and partners (such as local HR, HR Services, Accounting, Treasury, Legal, etc) to ensure efficient local payroll processes
- Identify, analyze, and resolve complex payroll queries raised by HR, managers, and employees.
- Support the implementation of the HR Services Strategy for HR Payroll, including HR tools, programs, and processes, on a European and partially global level, and maintain written documentation regarding country knowledge, payroll procedures, and processes.
What You Bring
- A high school diploma or a background in economics studies is required for this position
- More than 5 years of experience in HR and Payroll Operations, with a strong focus on vendor management across multiple countries.
- Proficiency in German and English is a must
- High level of affinity to and experience with Payroll solutions, along with excellent in-depth analytical skills, a detail-oriented work style, an international mentality, and solid knowledge of MS Office applications.
- Collaborative style, happy to interact with many collaborators e.g., in HR Centers in different Regions, IT department, Finance department, management etc.
- Ability to work individually as well as a team-player, leading through building trust and empowering teams to deliver successfully.

At Siemens Energy we offer competitive compensation and additional benefits based on your performance, experience and qualification. Due to the Austrian legal regulations, we are obliged to state the minimum salary for this position. Please note that there is a clear willingness for a higher compensation considering your individual expectations, expertise and skills. The minimum salary for this position in the collective agreement for the electrical and electronics industry is in the amount of 55.419,70 € gross/year for a full-time position (38,5 h/week).
