A Snapshot of Your Day
The Quality Manager in Projects (QMiP) is responsible for providing expert advice to the Project Manager on all quality aspects throughout the project lifecycle within the Compression Business, which includes compressor plants and components for the international oil and gas industry. Acting as the primary point of contact for customers and stakeholders, the QMiP ensures that project quality meets customer expectations while adhering to specific contract requirements and applicable regulations for the installation country. This role involves securing that all requirements are integrated into the project's design and build, overseeing tests and inspections to verify compliance, and leading a globally located team of quality support functions. Additionally, the QMiP contributes to the bid preparation stage by reviewing customer quality specifications and offering comments, exceptions, and budget estimations.
How You’ll Make an Impact
- Contract Review: Review customer contracts and specifications during the project for quality aspects, including country-specific certifications and product safety.
- Deviation Management: Support the Project Manager in presenting deviations to the customer and obtaining approvals for Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs).
- Documentation Management: Ensure proper documentation to prove the resolution of punch items and review quality items in supplier contracts, including the supplier Inspection and Test Plan (ITP).
- Quality Planning: Coordinate Quality Plans for the project, including the project ITP, and monitor the fulfillment of project requirements.
- Risk Assessment Participation: Participate in PACT workshops to identify and communicate quality risks, as well as engage in Risk & Opportunity Assessments (ROA) and updates.
- Customer Support & Audits: Support the customer by creating Site Quality Plans, attend inspections and tests as required, monitor Quality Gates, assist with customer audits, and release the final Quality Documentation package while supporting the Lessons Learned process.
What You Bring
- Education: Bachelor's degree in an Engineering or Quality field.
- Experience: Minimum of 7 years of relevant working experience, including roles in oil and gas, power plant, or EPC projects.
- Quality Knowledge: Comprehensive knowledge of quality requirements in the Gas Compression industry and a strong commitment to adhering to them.
- Analytical & Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to analyze data with a broad perspective to develop creative solutions, along with strategic thinking and innovative problem-solving capabilities.
- Interpersonal Skills & Communication: Strong communication skills (verbal and written), fluency in English, and a collaborative mindset for working within a global team, along with the ability to travel internationally.
