A Snapshot of Your Day
As the Project Planner at Siemens Energy, you will be responsible for developing and managing detailed plans for outages related to gas turbines, steam turbines, and generators. This role requires strong analytical skills, a deep understanding of turbine and generator operations, and the ability to collaborate with various teams to ensure that maintenance activities are executed efficiently and safely.
How you’ll make an impact
- Foster a culture of safety by promoting a zero-harm environment and ensuring compliance with safety regulations and industry standards.
- Develop comprehensive outage plans for gas turbines, steam turbines, and generators, including scope, schedule, resource allocation, and budget considerations.
- Coordinate with Engineering, Project Managers, Field Service teams, procurement, and logistics to align on outage requirements and ensure resource availability.
- Create and maintain detailed schedules for planned outages, sequencing activities to minimize downtime and adjusting as necessary for unforeseen issues.
- Conduct risk assessments to identify potential challenges during outages and develop effective mitigation strategies.
- Monitor outage progress, prepare reports on planning, execution, and performance, and facilitate communication between departments for continuous improvement.
- Implement best practices and standard operating procedures for outage planning and execution, while identifying opportunities for process enhancements.
- Promote a healthy work-life balance by encouraging timely communication of leave requests among team members.
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in planning, scheduling, or project management, preferably within the power generation industry.
- Experience with gas turbines, steam turbines, and generators is highly desirable.
- Proficient in planning and scheduling software (e.g., Microsoft Project, Primavera, or similar).
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions.
- Strong organizational and time management abilities, with attention to detail.
- Proficient in written and verbal communication in English, which is essential for maintaining quality standards and proficient in MS office and Power BI.
About the Team
Our Gas Services division offers Low-emission power generation through service and decarbonization. Zero or low emission power generation and all gas turbines under one roof, steam turbines and generators. Decarbonization opportunities through service offerings, modernization, and digitalization of the fleet.
