As a Performance Specialist at Siemens Energy, your day will be dynamic and impactful. You’ll dive into innovative projects to improve aero-derivative gas turbine performance. Collaborating with a multidisciplinary team, you will develop and operate thermodynamic models, analyse engine tests, and trend performance results. Your expertise will drive solutions that reduce environmental impact and optimise energy efficiency. Our team thrives on a culture of collaboration, support, and relentless pursuit of excellence.

How You’ll Make an Impact

• You will study customer needs, existing analytical work, and standard methodology to solve problems with the models you develop and use.
• You will look for opportunities to build on prior knowledge when generating solutions.
• You will help to understand and quantify project and technical risk.
• You will take part in root cause investigations.
• You will represent the Performance & Analytics skill and make recommendations to Project Managers, Product Managers, Technical Support Service, and the Engineering community.
• You will take an active role in supporting existing customers and propose solutions to reduce the environmental impact of our products.

What You Bring

• You have a Bachelor's or equivalent experience in Mechanical Engineering or another field relevant to performance engineering.
• You are interested in thermodynamics, gas turbine performance principles, and analytical methods.
• You have an inquisitive nature and pragmatic problem-solving skills.
• You are motivated by contributing to multi-disciplinary teams and the development of innovative engineering solutions.
• You have an interest in gas turbine technology and working to develop it to remain a useful technology throughout the energy transition.
• Applied gas turbine performance and operability experience is advantageous.

About the Team

Our Gas Services division offers low-emission power generation through service and decarbonisation. We bring all gas turbines under one roof, including steam turbines and generators, to provide zero—or low-emission power generation. We focus on decarbonisation opportunities through modernisation and digitalisation of the fleet.
