A Snapshot of Your Day

We currently have an exciting position for an Engineer to join our Tool Depot team in our Klang Workshop supporting the regional Field Service Team. The responsibility of this position applies to one or more of Gas Service activities, which includes Tooling for Gas Turbines, Generators and Steam Turbines. In addition, selected Tooling Engineer is expected to work on improving and updating our Quality Management Programs and Digitalized Feedback approach.

How You’ll Make an Impact

  • Manage and Service Gas Turbine, Steam Turbine and Generator Outages (Tooling)
  • Coordinate and ensure quality of tools shipment and receiving
  • Monitor and maintain tool forecast, availability and cost recovery
  • Support establishment of new Tool Kits for our Service Fleet
  • Support CAPEX list for Malaysia and review with Head of Tool Depot
  • Monitor and ensure tool servicing team repairs and replenish tool kits in time and within SE quality standards
  • Attends weekly project review meetings and provide updates for tooling related matters
  • Moderate Tooling Feedback App, read the feedbacks and assign it to responsible personnel and ensure each query are answered and provide feedback to users.
  • Prepare performance target and review with Head of Tool Depot
  • Support development, expansion and improvement on Tool Depot facility
  • Develop and review working instructions for Tool Depot MY operation
  • Drive TCTP Data Quality Initiative

What You Bring
  • University degree or higher education level, preferably in Mechanical, Electrical, Power Generation or Oil & Gas Engineering background
  • 3 – 5 years of experience working in a Field Maintenance environment, preferably in the Energy or Oil & Gas Sector, preferably with exposure to both, On-Site Execution and Project Management/ Back-Office
  • Experience in Resource Management is an additional advantage
  • Experience in implementing/ administrating industrial software applications based on Salesforce, SAP and Microsoft Office software will be beneficial
  • Team player with the ability to work independently under pressure, multitask and focus on problem solving in a complex environment collaborating with international teams
  • Possess problem analytical and solving skills
  • Excellent communication skills - proficient English (written / oral), interpersonal skills
  • Willing to work flexible hours on demand

Our Gas Services division offers Low-emission power generation through service and decarbonization. Zero or low emission power generation and all gas turbines under one roof, steam turbines and generators. Decarbonization opportunities through service offerings, modernization, and digitalization of the fleet.
