A Snapshot of Your Day

You will machine components from aero derivative gas turbine engines and their modules to support the repair and overhaul businesses. The machining will mostly be to restore and repair gas turbine components. You will use Vertical Turning Lathe (VTL), Traditional lathes, Taper reamers and drilling machines. All work is performed with health and safety as our priority under a culture of quality assurance and a focus on the customer. You will be working with a trained team that are working together to satisfy customer expectations.

How You’ll Make an Impact

  • Use technical drawings, setup and adjust production machines.
  • Repair of Gas turbine components through machining operations
  • Taper reaming of turbine discs and shafts
  • Polishing of Gas Turbine Blades and vales to remove oxidation or other defects.
  • Minor component repair including removal of seized bolts and fittings, and removal of abradable liners on seals.
  • any other related or associated roles, tasks, or duties, which they can be trained, instructed and supervised to do safely.
  • You will be working with the engineering team to develop new repair instructions.

What You Bring 

  • A trade school diploma in Machining or Mechanical Assembly
  • A certificate of study in aeronautics recognized by the Ministry of Education.
  • Be responsible for the quality and of results
  • Display self-reliance and resourcefulness
  • Possess a keen sense of innovation
