A Snapshot of Your Day

The Lean Practitioner implements Lean principles and methodologies to improve operational efficiency, reduce waste, and enhance overall organisational performance. This role involves working closely with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for improvement, facilitate training, and drive a culture of continuous improvement.

How You’ll Make an Impact

Lean Implementation:
  • Lead the implementation of Lean methodologies (e.g., 5S, Kaizen, Value Stream Mapping, Kanban) across various departments.
  • Conduct assessments to identify areas of waste and inefficiency within processes.
  • Develop and execute Lean transformation plans tailored to specific organisational needs.
Training and Development:
  • Facilitate Lean training sessions and workshops for employees at all levels to promote understanding and adoption of Lean principles.
  • Mentor and coach team members in Lean tools and techniques, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Develop training materials and resources to support Lean initiatives.
Process Improvement:
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to analyse current processes and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Utilise Lean tools (e.g., root cause analysis, process mapping) to diagnose issues and develop solutions.
  • Implement process changes and monitor their effectiveness, making adjustments as necessary.
Performance Measurement:
  • Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the success of Lean initiatives.
  • Collect and analyse data to assess the impact of Lean projects on operational performance.
  • Prepare and present reports on Lean initiatives and their outcomes to management and stakeholders.
Change Management:
  • Support change management efforts by communicating the benefits of Lean initiatives to all stakeholders.
  • Address resistance to change by engaging employees and fostering a positive attitude toward Lean practices.
  • Collaborate with leadership to ensure alignment of Lean initiatives with organisational goals.
Continuous Improvement Culture:
  • Promote a culture of continuous improvement by encouraging employee involvement and feedback.
  • Facilitate regular improvement meetings and brainstorming sessions to generate new ideas and solutions.
  • Recognise and celebrate successes in Lean initiatives to motivate and engage employees.
Collaboration and Communication:
  • Work closely with various departments (e.g., production, quality, supply chain) to ensure alignment and collaboration on Lean initiatives.
  • Communicate effectively with all levels of the organisation to promote understanding and support for Lean practices.
  • Act as a team liaison to share best practices and lessons learned from Lean projects.
What You Bring 

  • • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Operations Management, or a related field. Lean certification (e.g., Lean practitioner or expert certification) is preferred.
  • • Experience: 3+ years of experience in process improvement, operations management, or a related field, with a focus on Lean methodologies.
  • • Technical Skills: Proficiency in Lean tools and techniques, as well as data analysis and process mapping software.
  • • Interpersonal Skills: Strong communication, facilitation, and leadership skills.
  • • Analytical Skills: Ability to analyse complex processes and data to identify improvement opportunities.
  • • Project Management: Experience in managing multiple projects and leading cross-functional teams.

Our Gas Services division offers Low-emission power generation through service and decarbonization. Zero or low emission power generation and all gas turbines under one roof, steam turbines and generators. Decarbonisation opportunities through service offerings, modernisation, and digitalisation of the fleet.
