A Snapshot of Your Day
We are seeking a Junior Accountant to join our team in Athens. The ideal candidate will be responsible to ensure integrity and high quality of books and records to meet best-practice financial reporting that caters both internal and external requirements. The Junior Accountant will work closely with various teams, including Sales, Business and auditors, to facilitate smooth operations and improve customer satisfaction.
How You’ll Make an Impact
- Maintain books and records in accordance with best-practice financial reporting standards to meet both internal and external requirements.
- Ensure compliance with all accounting practices and processes, both international and domestic.
- Actively participate in monthly, quarterly, and yearly closing and reporting for all partners, adhering to scheduled timelines.
- Engage in statutory audits, working with outsourcing partners (Local GAAP, transactional accounting, etc.) and other relevant customers.
- Collaborate with business units and other corporate functions as a business partner to achieve common objectives within accounting topics.
What You Bring
- Educational background in business administration, economics or Accounting with a professional experience of 3 to 5 years in a similar position;
- Experience participating in the preparation of financial statements with Knowledge on Local Accounting Standards (L. 4308), on My digital accounting and tax application (My Data) and of accounting principles and procedures; (IFRS & Local Gaap).
- Experience with general ledger functions and the month-end/year end close process;
- Proficient in English and Greek (spoken and written) is required.
- Knowledge of SAP and other logistics management software, is a plus
- Flexibility to adjust and thrive in an environment with changing requirements, schedules and priorities for multiple projects or assignments.
