A Snapshot of Your Day
As an Electrical Technician, you’ll play a vital role in ensuring the seamless operation of a combined cycle power plant in Taiwan. From performing preventive and corrective maintenance on electrical systems to troubleshooting and repairing equipment, your work directly contributes to plant reliability and customer satisfaction. You’ll collaborate closely with contractors and the plant team to drive improvements in technical performance while ensuring safety and compliance. During the plant’s construction phase, you’ll also support installation and commissioning activities.
How You’ll Make an Impact
- Perform maintenance tasks on electrical plant equipment following work plans, statutory requirements, and OEM recommendations.
- Troubleshoot and repair faulty electrical systems and equipment to ensure smooth operations.
- Use the plant management system to report faults, record maintenance work, and request materials.
- Enhance your technical expertise through training courses and practical fieldwork.
- Ensure safety for yourself and others by strictly adhering to plant safety regulations.
- Collaborate with contractors and oversee their activities to maintain high standards.
- Work closely with the power plant team to continuously improve reliability and technical performance.
- Support installation and commissioning activities during the plant’s construction phase.
What You Bring
- A degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent as the foundation of your expertise.
- Hands-on experience with maintaining electrical systems such as motors, transformers, generators, SFC, LV, MV, and HV switchgear, as well as corresponding protection systems.
- Basic understanding of control systems and the ability to read functional diagrams.
- Proficiency in both written and spoken English and Mandarin.
- A commitment to shared values such as care, agility, respect, and accountability.
