A Snapshot of Your Day
You will be a member of the legal team of SE Mexico and Central America with the functions of legal affairs advisor to all business units of the Company, being in charge of accompanying in making decisions that have legal implications, particularly related to commercial transactions and the operation of the Company, as well as legal advice and legal support in negotiations with customers and vendors or suppliers.
How You’ll Make an Impact
- Work together with the Company's Management, contributing to strategic decision making with legal scope.
- Advise the business regarding the different alternatives and/or strategies that may arise in the resolution of contractual and administrative disputes with third parties (customers, suppliers, regulatory bodies, among others).
- Advise and support the bid team in the negotiation of contracts and consortiums with the client, to protect the company.
- Manage consultations and litigation matters to be carried out with external lawyers to address specific projects or situations.
- Work in a coordinated manner with other support areas to address the different legal requirements of the business (Central functions: HR, Export Customs, Taxes, EHS, Real Estate, TRE, among others).
- Support in negotiations with contractors and vendors/ suppliers.
What You Bring
- Law degree in Mexico with at least 7 years of accredited experience preferably in the energy, industrial or infrastructure sector and with knowledge of contract and corporate law.
- A postgraduate degree in corporate law, commercial law, contract law, tax law, or international trade law is preferred.
- English level (advanced, speaking and written).
- Ability to analyze complex issues and propose practical solutions in accordance with the law.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills and ability to support multiple internal clients. Relevant skill: Negotiation.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work independently and in a team environment.

The selected attorney will work in the legal department of SE Mexico and Central America, providing legal services to the commercial, technical, and other support teams of the Company.
