A Snapshot of Your Day

As a Chemist, you will be responsible for monitoring and maintaining the chemical health of the power plant to ensure safe, reliable, and environmentally compliant operations. You will conduct and oversee chemical analysis, support water and wastewater treatment processes, monitor emissions systems, and provide technical expertise to optimize plant performance. Your role will be critical in maintaining regulatory compliance, operational excellence, and environmental stewardship.

How You’ll Make an Impact

· Monitor and analyze the plant's chemical conditions to support safe, reliable, and efficient operations.

· Oversee water and wastewater treatment processes, ensuring compliance with operational and environmental requirements.

· Monitor and maintain the Continuous Emissions Monitoring (CEM) system and support environmental compliance activities.

· Perform and review routine water, gas, and chemical analyses, identifying trends and recommending corrective actions as needed.

· Utilize the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) for fault notifications, parts requisitions, and maintenance support activities.

· Maintain technical records, logs, chemistry documentation, and support continuous improvement through training and professional development.

What You Bring

· Bachelor's Degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or a related technical discipline.

· Minimum of 5 years of experience in power generation, industrial plant operations, water treatment, or a similar industrial environment.

· Strong knowledge of water chemistry, chemical analysis, environmental monitoring, and chemical handling practices.

· Experience of working with power plant systems, water treatment equipment, and environmental compliance programs.

· Proficiency with CMMS platforms, Microsoft Office applications, and technical reporting tools.

· Professional working proficiency in English and the ability to collaborate effectively within diverse and multicultural teams.
